About this library
We’re a new kind of open-plan, self-serve library sitting on just about the most convenient corner of Stockport Road and Yew Tree Avenue – sharing our fantastic new building with Arcadia Leisure Centre.
The centre offers a modern attractive space with an open plan approach within the leisure centre, where PC's and wifi are available.
With over 90 hours of access, the library can be used even when staff aren’t there. You can borrow, return, collect reservations and renew books. Book stocks for all ages is available, including a dedicated children's library with study spaces. -
Opening times for library
Staffed library service
- Monday, Thursday and Saturday 9am to 5pm
- Wednesday 1pm to 8pm
Self-service library service
Outside of the staffed opening times, from 6.30am each morning and until 10pm each evening, except Saturday (staffed hours only) and Sunday (self-service only from 9am-5pm)
Age Friendly Hour
On weekdays, 10-11am is Age Friendly hour when our older customers get priority support and a friendly welcome.
Skill Up workshops
There is a free digital Skill Up workshop every Wednesday from 1pm to 3.15pm with staff from Manchester Adult Education Service.
