The Council and democracy Census 2021

The census is a national survey that happens every 10 years and gives us a picture of all the people and households in England and Wales.

This information helps to plan and fund public services. By taking part in the census, you help make sure your community gets the services it needs.

The last census, which is carried out by the Office for National Statistics, took place in March 2021.

Paper surveys can still be submitted by posting to: FREEPOST Census 2021.
