Chorlton Precinct

Chorlton Precinct is owned by Greater Manchester Property Venture Fund (GMPVF).
The site is in central Chorlton and close to public transport and local amenities. At the moment it is made up of a seven-storey office building, retail units and parking for 200 cars.
GMPVF is proposing a complete redevelopment of Chorlton Precinct. This draft proposal known as a ‘Development Framework’ will guide the future development of the site. These proposals will be followed by a more detailed design of the site and a planning application. Before the anything is finalised, we want to share their proposals with you and find out what you think.
Their proposals include:
- new retail spaces along Manchester Road that join up with the district centre
- new townhouses and apartments that complement the area
- cycle storage and safe routes through the site to promote walking and cycling
- car parking
- an attractive environment created by landscaping and tree planting.
After this consultation a final Development Framework will be produced for the Council’s Executive Committee to consider.
