We want to make Manchester a more inclusive and equal place, where everyone has the same opportunities and a good quality of life, and we all value the diversity of each other’s different backgrounds.

We’re renewing our equality objectives – the things we want to achieve for 2020 to 2024 – to help us focus on the most important areas. We want your view on what matters to you. 

We consulted with residents in 2016 and agreed on three main objectives for 2016 to 2020. Each has a number of aims that described the areas and activities we would focus on. These were:

We will gather your views together and ask you to rank what you think is most important in a follow-up consultation. 

We will then prepare our findings and present them to the Community and Equalities Scrutiny Committee ready for April 2020.
