How the scheme will work
If you have a vehicle that is registered to an address in the scheme’s area, you will be able to apply for a resident parking permit as an alternative option to parking and display parking.
You can load and unload as usual, as long as it's clear you are not parking
What it will cost
There would be limited numbers of two types of residents’ permits available on a first-come first-served basis.
The scheme will provide approximately 75 on-street parking bays.
C1 permit
There will be 38 available that would allow parking Monday to Friday, 8 to 9am and 5 to 8pm; Saturday and Sunday 8am to 8pm
- a three-month C1 permit would cost £75
- a six-month C1 permit would cost £137
- an annual C1 permit would cost £250.
C2 permit
There will be eight available that would allow parking Monday to Sunday 8am to 8pm:
- a three-month C2 permit would cost £225
- a six-month C2 permit would cost £412
- an annual C2 permit would cost £750.
Neither permit would guarantee a parking space for permit-holders.
Outside of the hours of operation you can park for no charge.
Who can apply
Anybody who owns a vehicle that's registered to a property within the scheme area can apply for a permit for that vehicle. If you rent your home, you will be asked to provide proof of where you live.
You can apply for a permit for each vehicle registered at the property.
If you own a company car you can also apply, but you'll need to provide us with a letter from your workplace telling us that you keep it at home.
