Consultations and surveys Ardwick Green consultation

What is this ?

This consultation has now closed.

A draft Neighbourhood Development Framework (‘NDF’) for Ardwick Green has been built to help guide the future development and regeneration of the area. NDFs can be used to help to address existing problems in an area and support development, in line with priorities for the area and Manchester as a whole.

The Ardwick Green NDF has been developed through consultation with community groups, residents, land owners and local business representatives over the last 12 months. Manchester City Council’s Executive have recently approved a draft version of the NDF and now we want  to get local peoples' views on the draft document.

Where is it ?

The proposed NDF area covers approximately 230,000 square meters and is located to the south east of Manchester city centre, immediately to the south of the Mancunian Way and divided by the busy A6 (Ardwick Green South).

It is roughly triangular in shape, connecting by the Mancunian Way and the Mayfield Strategic Regeneration Framework area to the north and by Wadeson Road.

With this consultation, we would like your input to make sure that key and developed objectives set out in the our NDF document are consistent with your priorities on;

  • protection of the existing residential and business communities,
  • improved social, environmental, and economic outcomes
  • and the future development of the area
