Crime, antisocial behaviour and nuisance Problems with short term lets

Short term lets are properties that are rented out to people or groups for anything up to 30 days at a time. They are typically associated with tourism, but they can also be rented for other reasons such as visiting friends and family. Properties are advertised online by providers such as Airbnb and Booking.com, and can be a single room all the way up to an entire house.

When well managed, short term lets provide another accommodation option for visitors to the City, however they can also be associated with problems like noise or rubbish not being disposed of properly. Where this happens, we can take action against those responsible.

If you are having problems with a property that you're sure is being used for short term lets, please let us know by completing the appropriate form. When asked to provide us with more information, tell us that you think the property is a short term let.
