Our Manchester voluntary and community sector grants

Charitable voluntary and community sector organisations play a huge role improving lives and communities in the city. We focus our grants programme on working with them to achieve the aims of the Our Manchester strategy.
For 2018 to 2021, a total of £7.2m has been awarded to 62 voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations who have a strong track record of providing high quality services in the city.

Reviewing how we support VCS organisations

We also fund support for VCS organisations. This support includes organisation health checks, information and advice, training and professional development. These services are currently provided through Macc.

We're working with Manchester Health and Care Commissioning to review the support that is offered to VCS organisations. We have been talking to people who work in the sector about how it’s going at the moment and what might be needed in the future. Information from the co-design session is on Macc's website. It includes the presentations, session notes and supporting documentation.
