Donate unused food - urgent appeal Winter 2024

An urgent appeal

The Our Manchester Food Partnership (OMFP) is reaching out to local businesses with an urgent appeal for food donations.

Non-perishable goods and/or ambient food supplies, including culturally appropriate ingredients and products, are urgently needed to support those most in need in our city.

The story so far:

Since January 2023, the OMFP has supplied over 500,000 meals to support those most in need through affordable food schemes, food banks and community grocers, but supplies in our warehouse are running low. Find out more about the OMFP.

The continued impact of the cost-of-living crisis and high inflation means more people in our city now need our support to prevent them from going hungry, and with winter drawing closer we're appealing to local food manufacturers, suppliers, wholesalers and retailers to please donate any surplus ambient food.

How you can help:

To donate any ambient surplus food supplies please complete our online form. To discuss other ways you might be able to support our work (eg with logistics or storage) email us at: omfp@manchester.gov.uk

Your donations to OMFP can make an immediate impact on the lives of individuals and families facing food insecurity. Your act of generosity will be recognised and can inspire others to join the cause, driving a united front against hunger in Manchester.
