A casual vacancy is when a seat on the City Council becomes vacant during the current term of the Council.

Notice is herby given under Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that a casual vacancy exists in the office of Councillor for the Clayton & Openshaw Ward of the City of Manchester.

Requests for an election to fill this casual vacancy should be made in writing to the Proper Officer at the address below by two local government electors from within the Manchester City Council area.
