Chinatown

Image of Chinese style gate

Manchester’s China Town is distinctively Mancunian and representative of the Chinese community within the city. The neighbourhood first emerged in the 1970’s and retains a strong sense of tradition and community spirit, whilst offering a unique visitor experience. Chinatown is characteristically and functionally different to any other part of the city centre and of great strategic importance to the city.
