Summary:

The Former Boddingtons Brewery site is located on the north side of the city centre and has long been a regeneration priority for us.

This document seeks to update a Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) for the area which was previously approved in 2015. The 2019 update details the opportunity for the Manchester College to build its new city centre campus on the site, promoting educational use on the western part of the site, alongside the delivery of a multi storey car park, and the residential and commercial development set out within the 2015 SRF.

Redevelopment of the site presents an opportunity to create a new, mixed use and vibrant destination as part of an extended city centre. As well as commercial, leisure and residential uses, it will deliver a high quality educational campus critical to supporting the long term growth of the city and city region economy
