The Council and democracy Changes to Sure Start centres: what this means for your local children’s centres across the 12 new areas

Gorton North, Gorton South and Levenshulme

There are currently four Children’s Centres in this area, these are:

  • Gorton North (St James)
  • Gorton South (Mount Road) - This centre is in the Gorton North council ward
  • Gorton South (Sacred Heart)
  • Levenshulme

The proposed changes would mean that these four centres would work together, sharing management and leadership, to ensure all current services continue to be delivered across the area.
