Renting from a private landlord

If you are struggling to pay rent, talk to your landlord straight away. Try to come to an agreement to pay off your arrears.

If your landlord threatens to evict you for not paying the rent, get advice about eviction and harassment.

If you're at risk of having your home repossessed, you can get advice and support from the Repossession Prevention Service.

If you are worried about homelessness visit the Advice Aid website for support.
