Manchester Councillor Angeliki Stogia:

Recently, you might have been hearing about our City Centre Transport Strategy

Hold on...

OK, so this is better, let's talk about the City Centre Transport Strategy.

A plan for sustainable transport to get in to Manchester and to travel within Manchester that boldly reflects what you said you want to see. A cleaner, greener, more sustainable city.

The City Centre Transport Strategy means cleaner air, lower emissions, less congestion, better, more affordable and accessible public transport.

Making Greater Manchester's capital a great place to live, work and visit for everyone.

Salford Councillor Roger Jones:

Salford City Council is really pleased with the work we've done with Manchester, on the City Centre Transport Strategy, it's very important for both cities. And it couldn't have been achieved without the publics support, so we want to thank everybody for their responses.

We're trying to improve walking and cycling, but also public transport, the buses, trains and trams. They all need to improve to make this city centre, something that everybody will be proud of.

Manchester Councillor Angeliki Stogia:

Thanks everyone, who's taken part,  and has backed our aim for 90% of morning peak transport to be made on foot, by bike, or public transport by 2040.
