There are 91 care homes across Manchester, providing both short and long-term support for residents in residential, nursing, and residential nursing specialist dementia care environments.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we've worked with our partners to carry out a system-wide range of support measures to care homes, and it's developed as we learn more about COVID-19 and its impact. We have created a support plan to help our residents and create a safe environment for our staff.
Our plan includes four main work streams, which aim to:
- Improve clinical support and practice
- Support the workforce
- Maintain capacity and improve care outcomes
- Manage and control the infection
