Black and Asian family helpline
The Boloh helpline is a service for Black and Asian children, young people and families affected by Covid-19.
Carribbean and African community
Support and advice is available from:
- The Carribbean and African Health Network (CAHN) COVID-19 support helpline. Call 0771 002 2382 (between 6am and midnight) or email covid-19@cahn.org.uk.
- The New Step for African Community (NESTAC) helpline, supporting the BAME community including refugees and asylum seekers. Call 07862 279289 or 07894 126157 (seven days a week between 10am and 6pm) or email info@nestac.org.uk. You can also text the word ‘HELP’ and someone will get back to you.

Muslim Council for Britain
The Muslim Council for Britain offer support services including:
- prescription collection
- halal food support
- advice during Ramadan

European nationals
Europia has links to support, wellbeing and welfare information for European nationals in Manchester.
The Polish community (over 50 years old)
Europia also run a support group for Polish people over the age of 50. Polish people can call 0161 826 3177 between 10am-2pm from Monday to Thursday to talk to Polish staff, to discuss whatever they like, including EUSS (European Union Settlement Scheme) or welfare advice, or concerns about COVID-19.
Roma/ Gypsy community
As part of their Roma Advocacy project, a bilingual Roma Advocacy worker to is available to provide telephone support and signposting services. Call 07561 366272 (Monday to Thursday between 9am to 4pm) or leave a voicemail outside of those times.
Jewish community
The Jewish Representative Council of Manchester offers advice and support to the Jewish community during COVID-19.
South Asian community
The South Asian Health Foundation provides resources and information in community languages.
Sikh Community
City Sikhs offer help and advice to the Sikh community, as well as free cooked meals available for delivery to vulnerable households.
LGBT community
The LGBT Foundation provides links to services and support available during the pandemic.
