COVID-19 Local Restrictions Support Grants

Application and payments

Applications made after 31 March will only be eligible for a grant payment covering the period 16 February 31 March 2021. This is following Government advice that we should no longer make grant payments for the period before 16 February 2021.

Applications can only be made through the online form.

If you have previously received an LRSG payment you do not need to apply again each time you are required to close due to new or continuing Government restrictions.

We will use the information from your original application to assess you for a further grant, as long as you continue to meet the criteria, we will automatically pay a grant to the bank account in your original application. Please do not submit a new application

If this is the first time you have applied for an LRSG payment you only need to make one application, based on the earliest date your business was required to close. We will make sure that you receive all of the grant payments you are eligible for.

If you have multiple business properties with a business rates liability, you will need to make one application for each property.

You should only submit an application for an LRSG payment if:

  • Your business has been required to close as a result of local or national COVID-19 restrictions
  • You had a business rates liability on the date lockdown measures were introduced
  • You are the business rate payer
  • You were trading, your business is not in administration, insolvent or in the process of making a proposal to strike off

Payment dates

The grant payment cycles are determined by the length of the local or national restrictions and are set by the Government.

Whilst we try to make prompt payments for each payment cycle and guaranteed period of local or restrictions with so many grant schemes being administered at the same time, the administration and checks take some time. We will always email you to let you know when a payment will be made and confirm the amount that will be paid into your bank account.
