This scheme closed on 30 June 2021. Applications must have been received before the deadline at midnight on 30 June. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
On 3 March 2021, the Government announced a one-off Restart Grant to support some business sectors including non-essential retail, hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym businesses in England. This grant replaces the Local Restrictions Support Grants (LRSG).
Businesses can apply for a Restart Grant of up to £18,000, depending on their sector and rateable value.
The closing date for applications for this grant was 30 June 2021.
This grant is only payable to businesses that are trading and have a business rates liability on 1 April 2021.
Grants of up to £6,000 will be paid to non-essential retail (Find out more about types of businesses) business premises, to help them reopen safely.
Grants of up to £18,000 will be paid to hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym business premises (Find out more about types of businesses), to help them reopen safely.
The Restart Grant scheme supports businesses that are predominantly reliant on delivering in-person goods or services to the general public.
