Parks, leisure and the arts Stevenson Square Conservation Area

Trees

Stevenson Square conservation area has very few trees, but we think there could be more. We plan to refurbish the Square, and this may involve planting more trees.

Planting could be provided on other sites, if only on a temporary basis. For example, the periphery of sites used for parking, at least until those sites are redeveloped. Trees can provide an impression of solidity in spaces once occupied by buildings.

Anyone wishing to fell, prune or uproot a tree covered by a Tree Preservation Order or in a Conservation Area should seek permission first from us before undertaking any work to the tree.
