Trees

Trees make a significant contribution to the character of the area, both on the verges and in private gardens. Where garden trees become too large, or they succumb to disease or undermine walls, then the South Area Team should be contacted so that appropriate action can be agreed. The trees in the verges and other public spaces in Chorltonville are carefully managed by the residents' association.

Anyone wishing to fell, prune or uproot a tree covered by a Tree Preservation Order or in a Conservation Area should seek permission first from us before undertaking any work to the tree.
