Parks, leisure and the arts Wilbraham Road / Edge Lane Conservation Area

Neutral areas

A pair of 20th century semi-detached properties and an adjacent detached house of similar design on York Road are bland in comparison with the late Victorian buildings that provide the most architectural interest in the area.

Similarly almost all of the late 20th century/early 21st century developments for apartment buildings lack the vitality of earlier designs and fail to exhibit any creative contemporary design qualities. In that regard such properties may be regarded as having a neutral impact in the conservation area.
