Coroner's Court Diary

The Coroner conducts full inquest hearings in an open, public Court with witnesses and families attending in person, at the Royal Exchange Building.

Guidance and rules for attending court

If you have to attend the court for any reason, please follow the approved guidance and rules:

If you wish to observe an inquest for your professional development, you are welcome to do so.  Please follow the visitors' guidelines to arrange this.  The diary shows several types of hearing. Openings and Pre-inquest Review Hearings are administrative sessions only, where no evidence is heard, and we do not recommend them for observation visits.

You can view the details of all forthcoming hearings.  For any historical hearings, email the team at coroners.office@manchester.gov.uk.
