Manchester City Council will be conferring the Honorary Freedom of the City to the 209 (The Manchester Artillery) Battery, 103 Regiment Royal Artillery in recognition of their distinctive and eminent service at a ceremony in St Peter’s Square.

What: The conferment of the Honorary Freedom of the City of Manchester on 209 (The Manchester Artillery) Battery, 103 Regiment Royal Artillery  

When: Saturday, 30 October at 11.00 am

Where: St Peter’s Square, Manchester, and parade around the city centre

 

Manchester City Council will be conferring the Honorary Freedom of the City to the 209 (The Manchester Artillery) Battery, 103 Regiment Royal Artillery in recognition of their distinctive and eminent service at a ceremony in St Peter’s Square.

The ceremony will be followed by a military parade around the city centre, which will give people the opportunity to watch it at various points on the route, a march past and salute.  

To accommodate the event, parking suspensions will be in place from 6am, road closures will be in place from 7am – 1pm and traffic will be diverted for the duration of the event.
